Silver Temple Bangles by Motif

Every bangle here is handcrafted in 925 stamped sterling silver and finished with an antique gold polish. What changes from set to set is the motif, so start with the one that means something to you, or the one that suits the saree you're wearing.

Lakshmi Bangles and Divine Motifs

Goddess Lakshmi is the figure most of our bangles are built around, so this is the biggest group, with 12 designs. You can also browse it as its own collection of antique Lakshmi bangles.

Peacock and Floral Bangles

Peacocks and flowers feel lighter than the deity designs. They suit festivals and evening functions.

Kemp and Kundan Bangles

For more stone-set pieces, see our kundan jewellery collection.

How to Choose Silver Temple Bangles

Get the size right first, then pick the motif that suits the day and the outfit.

Set or single? A set gives you matching bangles in one order. A single bangle is easier to mix with plain bangles you already own.

Match the motif to the occasion. Lakshmi designs are the usual choice for weddings, muhurtham and pooja. Peacock and floral sets suit festivals and evening events. Kemp and kundan sets carry the most colour, so they work best with plain silk sarees. If you want to compare finishes side by side, browse our antique gold bangle sets.

What Size Silver Bangle Should You Buy?

Most adult women in India wear a 2-4 or a 2-6. If you're buying a gift and can't measure, 2-6 is the safest single choice. Our designs are made in sizes 2-4 to 2-8, and some also come in 2-2. Check the size selector on each product page.

Size Inner diameter (approx.) Usually fits
2-2 54 mm Very small hands
2-4 57 mm Smaller hands
2-5 59 mm Small to medium hands
2-6 60 mm Medium hands
2-7 62 mm Medium to large hands
2-8 63.5 mm Large hands

To find your size, lay a bangle that already fits flat and measure straight across the inside. No bangle to measure? Tuck your thumb into your palm, wrap a tape around the widest part of your hand and divide by 3.14. Measure your hand, not your wrist, because the bangle has to clear your knuckles first. Sizes vary by about a millimetre between brands, so treat the numbers as approximate.

Caring for Gold-Polished Silver Bangles

Keep them dry and store them apart from other jewellery. Moisture and sweat tarnish silver and can loosen stone settings, and the gold polish wears faster with friction and chemicals.

  • Put them on last, after perfume, hairspray and skincare, and take them off before washing or bathing.
  • Wipe with a soft microfiber or cotton cloth after wearing, then store each piece in a soft pouch or airtight box.
  • Skip water, polishing agents and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Hold the bangle by its main body, not the stone settings, when putting it on or taking it off.

For India orders, HS925 offers a lifetime re-polishing service for a nominal fee plus shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know my bangle size?

Measure across the inside of a bangle that fits you, or divide your hand's circumference by 3.14, then match the result to the size table above. Most women pick 2-4 or 2-6, and our designs come in sizes 2-4 to 2-8.

Can I wear these bangles every day?

Sterling silver is durable, but the gold polish wears faster the more you wear it. HS925's care guide recommends saving these bangles for special occasions, which keeps the finish looking good longer.

Will the antique gold finish fade?

Yes, slowly. The gold polish wears with use, moisture, perfume and sweat, and HS925 doesn't treat that as a defect. On India orders you can send the bangles in for re-polishing for a nominal fee plus shipping.

Can I exchange if the size doesn't fit?

For orders delivered in India, you can request an exchange within 7 days of delivery. The bangles must be unused, in original packaging with tags and certificates, and are checked on receipt. The exchange must be for a product of the same or higher value. Email orders@hs925.com to start. International orders are final sale, so measure carefully before you order. See the full return and exchange policy.

Does the price change with bangle size?

Yes. Prices are set per size on each product page, so the "From" price on this page is the smallest size. On the Divine Goddess Lakshmi Bangles Set, for example, size 2-2 is ₹22,000 and size 2-8 is ₹29,667.
